Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) and Prime Minister, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, received a peace delegation led by U San Pae, Vice-Chairman of the Peace and Unity Committee of the National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA-Mongla), at the Golden Triangle Avenue of the Triangle Region Command Headquarters yesterday morning.

Also present at the meeting were senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief. The NDAA (Mongla) delegation included Vice-Chairman U Hsang Lu, U Kyi Myint, and other officials.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing warmly welcomed U San Pae and members of the NDAA delegation. During the meeting, the Senior General expressed his pleasure at reconnecting with long-standing friends. He emphasized that as Myanmar is a Union nation, it must advance with a system rooted in genuine multiparty democracy and federal principles. To achieve this, he urged all national groups to work together in unity for the collective benefit of the country.

He noted that the government is committed to national development with genuine intentions and stressed the importance of cooperation in key sectors such as education and healthcare.

He emphasized the need to provide access to basic education for all school-age children and highlighted the role of education in developing human resources essential for national progress. Proficiency in the Union’s official language and literature was also underscored as vital for unity.

The Senior General also discussed the importance of regional development. He encouraged efforts to promote rubber-based industries and livestock and fishery businesses to ensure local food sufficiency. The government, he said, will provide the necessary support in these areas, including in transportation, communication, and healthcare services, particularly in rural areas.

Vice-Chairman U San Pae expressed his gratitude to the SAC Chairman, Prime Minister, and leadership for the opportunity to meet and for their condolences upon the recent passing of the former NDAA (Mongla) Chairman. He also conveyed solidarity with those affected by the recent earthquake in Mandalay, noting that the NDAA and local residents in Special Region 4 had contributed to relief efforts.

Reaffirming the NDAA's long-standing commitment to the State’s Three Main National Causes—non-disintegration of the Union, non-disintegration of national solidarity, and perpetuation of sovereignty—U San Pae requested further state support in improving transportation, education, and healthcare infrastructure in the region. He pledged continued cooperation to maintain regional and national peace and stability and assured that no armed groups or political organizations were being allowed to operate in their region.

The two sides held cordial and constructive discussions on peace initiatives, regional development, healthcare, and education.
