Price of 92 Ron reaches below Ks2,000 per liter in Yangon

The price of 92 Ron octane has reached below 2,000 kyats per liter in Yangon, according to local filling stations. 

According to daily fuel reference prices released today by the Supervisory Committee for Import, Storage and Distribution of Fuel Oil, the price of gasoline is Ks1,950 per liter for 92 Ron, Ks2,020 per liter for 95 Ron, and Ks2,3654 per liter of HSD (500 ppm).

Likewise, the price in Mandalay, Nay Pyi Taw, Bago, Magway, Pathien, Hpa-an and Mawlmyine is just over Ks1,900 per liter for 92 Ron, while that in Dawei, Monywa, Myitkyina, Sittway, Lashio, Taunggyi, Loikaw, Haka and Kengtung is just over Ks2,000 per liter for 92 Ron.

Those prices have calculated by the committee based on MOPS price rates.

The Central Bank of Myanmar provided a loan of over US$200 million in earlier September as a measure to stabilize exchange rates for local fuel importers. It also announced on September 30 that Chinese yuan may be used in importing fuel oil.

According to the data from the Ministry of Commerce, 246.14 million gallons of gasoline were unloaded at Thilawa port in Yangon in September.
