Police strength increased in Chaungtha and Ngwa Saung Beaches

HINTHADA- Police have stepped up security in Chaungtha and Ngwa Saung beaches in Ayeyawaddy Region since October 9th in order to ensure peaceful celebrations during Thadingyut holiday period, according to the Ayeyawaddy Region Police Force.

“As Chaughtha and Ngwa Saung beaches are packed with holidaymakers during Thadingyut festival, we are going to deploy double the security. We are going to patrol day and night and launch surprise checks on the vehicles in cooperation with allies. Roughly, the project will start within Thadingyut festival,” said Police Lt-Col Tun Shwe from Ayeyawady Region Police Force.

“In order to prevent acts of destruction or attempts at illegal immigration by the Bengali, we together with respective administrative teams and police force are conducting vehicle checks at the entrance of the town every night. Over 20 police members are deployed at the Ngwa Saung Beach during Thadingyut festival. We are going to patrol at the beach day and night together with the police force. We will improve security measures. It will be better than in the previous year. Moreover, locals including Beach Disciplinary Committee and Speed Board are preparing the rescue activities for holidaymakers at the beach,” said Wunna Win, Administrator from Ngwa Saung beach.
