Police seize drugs from pedestrians

According to the Anti-Drug police force, drugs were seized from two pedestrians in East Dagon Township, Yangon, on October 20.  

     

Acting on a tip off, the police from East Dagon police station inspected, at the corner of Kyan Sittha and Bo Hmu Ba Htoo streets of ward 52, Two pedestrians, Kyaw Than (a) Min Min Paing, 24 yrs. and Ma Myint Myint Kyi, 20 yrs. of 8th ward, Shwepyithar township.

     

Upon inspection 10250 psychotropic pills in plastic bags with velcro stickers, worth over K 6,000,000 inside the sling bag that Ma Myint Myint Kyi held.

     

The two culprits were booked under the drugs law at the Dagon East police station, and investigation is currently underway to uncover more linked to this case.
