Movements in people’s hospitals including Waibargi Hospital in Yangon have been restricted, and there were over 270 people in hospital quarantine from January 31 to March 23, according to the Ministry of Health and Sports.

During the period, the hospitals in various states and regions had 273 patients in hospital quarantine—126 at South Oakkalapa Women and Children Hospital in Yangon, 67 at Kandawnadi Hospital in Mandalay, 54 at Waibargi Specialist Hospital in Yangon and 26 at other hospitals. Of them, 170 had discharged after 14 days of quarantine.

From January 31 to March 23, there were a total of 214 patients under investigation and suspension of the coronavirus—88 in Yangon Region, 37 in Mandalay Region, 30 in Shan State and 59 in other states and regions. Of them, 212 were under virus investigation and two under suspicion of the virus.

Among them, 198 tested negative, 16 still waring for results, 127 discharged and 13 died of other chronic diseases.
