According to a statement from the Anti-Narcotics Police Force, authorities have seized narcotics valued at approximately 2 billion kyats, including ecstasy tablets, ketamine, methamphetamine, and "Happy Water," in Mandalay. 

The drugs were intended for distribution among young people in KTVs, bars, clubs, and restaurants.

The operation began on December 17 at around 5 PM, when officers intercepted a 22-wheel truck on 62nd Street in Amarapura Township, driven by Thein Zaw Oo and accompanied by Yan Naing Soe. The truck was found carrying 34,400 ecstasy tablets.

Further investigations led to the arrest of Aung Aung and Ba Hein, who allegedly ordered the transport, in Pyigyidagun Township later that evening. On December 18, police apprehended Ma San San Myint in Nat Yay Kan Village, Amarapura Township, with 84,000 ecstasy tablets.

On December 19, Myo Tun Aung @ Sai Dana Aung @ Kyaung Sayar, was arrested in a hotel in Chanmyathazi Township with 5.5 kilograms of "Happy Water," 8,640 ecstasy tablets, 0.2 kilograms of methamphetamine powder, a Toyota Crown car, and a motorcycle.

The following day, on December 20, authorities arrested Htike Soe Kyaw in Chanayethazan Township with 1.9 kilograms of ketamine, 9,600 ecstasy tablets, 9,000 "Happy-5" pills, and 1.215 kilograms of "Happy Water."

In total, the operation confiscated 1.184 million ecstasy tablets, 1.9 kilograms of ketamine, 6.715 kilograms of "Happy Water," 18,240 methamphetamine tablets, 0.2 kilograms of methamphetamine powder, and 9,000 "Happy-5" pills.

The arrested individuals are being prosecuted in accordance with the law, while efforts continue to track down others involved in the network.

 Authorities are also intensifying campaigns to prevent drug-related harm among young people, according to the statement.
