The opening ceremony of the new building of the Nyantaw Rural Health Branch in Nyan Taw Village Tract, Nawnghkio Township, Shan State (North), was held at 9 am. on August 22.

The event was attended by Dr. Htun Nyunt Oo, Head of the Department of Public Health and Medical Services (Shan State North), U Kyaw Swe Win, Chairman of the Kyaukme District Administrative Committee, along with around 100 officials from district and township-level departments, village heads, and local residents.

The Nyantaw Rural Health Branch, first established in 2013, serves four villages, 582 households, and more than 2,500 local residents.

The new standard building was constructed with funds allocated by the Ministry of Health through the Department of Public Health in the 2023–2024 fiscal year. Construction began in September 2023 and was completed in March 2024. However, due to regional conflict, the facility could not be inaugurated earlier.

With improved stability in Nawnghkio Township, the new building was officially opened on August 22 and will now provide essential health services to the local community.
