Myanmar National Human Rights Commission Member Yu Lwin Aung said after an investigation tour of Rakhine State, no evidence was found that the military breached the human rights of the Bengalis and instead, it was found that the rights of the ethnics were violated by those Bengalis.

Yu Lwin Aung made the remark in response to the media questions over the Rakhine issue on the sidelines of the meeting of the Union Parliament held in Nay Pyi Taw on November 15.

He said he had nothing to say about it but the government would continue its measures to rebut the allegations of the international community in accord with the law.

"We have nothing to say because they made accusations from their own perspective. We went to Rakhine State. But we didn't find any evidence that the military tortured them or violated their human rights. We found that those Bengalis only killed and troubled our ethnic groups such as Mro, Khami, Rakhine and Dainet as well as Hindus. They violated the human rights. We found no evidence that the military did it," Yu Lwin Aung confirmed.
