The 2020 general election in Myanmar saw 5.84 percent more voter turn out than its 2015 version, and in Magway Region, the NLD party seemed to have bagged all townships.

According to Magway's election commission announcement, 2015 saw 3026733 eligible voters with 2201660 votes, coming up to a total of 72.74 percent voter turnout. For this year, there were 3310132 eligible with 2601238 voters, a difference of about nearly six percent with 2015.

A total of representatives from 13 parties and 16 independent candidates competed in all 25 townships across Mandalay, a total of 404 candidates, and reports are stating that the ruling NLD had won all 25 townships.
