National League for Democracy (NLD) won Lower Hose seats in Minkin Township, Kalay District, Sagaing Region, Regional parliament seat for no- 2 constituency, regional parliament seat for no-2 constituency Phaung Pyin Township, regional parliament seat for no-2 constituency in Tamu Township, Tamu District, and regional parliament seat for no-1 constituency in Myinmu Township in 2020 General Election.

In 2015 General election, USDP won in Minkin Township, and in no-2 constituency in Phaung Pyin Township. In 2020 General election, NLD won these places.

In 2018 by-election, USDP won no-2 constituency in Tamu Township, Tamu District and now NLD won in this year election.

In 2015 election, NLD party won at the no-1 constituency for Myinmu township but unfortunately NLD candidate passed away after the election and so USDP candidate who got second most votes took late NLD party candidate place. 

There are 37 townships in Sagaing region and NLD won all places except no-2 constituency in Kalaywa Township.
