Myanmar's ASEAN-China Free Trade Area tariff reduction program will start on April 1, 2024, announced the Ministry of Planning and Finance with Notification No. 20/2024.

Myanmar tariff reduction schedule with HS 2022 version under ASEAN-China Free Trade Area has been issued by exercising the mandate given under Section 4 of the Tariff Law.

The notice will be effective from April 1, 2024, and the notice No. 47/2019 dated on May 21, 2019 is effectively canceled by this notice.

The Union Minister for Planning and Finance has exercised the authority granted under Section 4 of the Tariff Law to implement the Myanmar tariff reduction schedule with HS 2022 version under ASEAN-Hong Kong, China Free Trade Area, which is connected with the Myanmar Tariff Schedule 2022. The order will take effect from April 1, 2024, and Notice No. 52/2020 dated April 20, 2020 has been superseded by this notice.

The Union Minister, exercising the authority granted under Section 4 of the Tariff Law, has issued the Myanmar AANZ Tariff Reduction Schedule in HS 2022, which is linked to the Myanmar Tariff Schedule 2022, through Notification No. 45/2023. The order was effective on August 1, 2023. Decree No. 25/2020 dated February 20, 2020 has been superseded and canceled by this proclamation.

With the announcement No. 44/2023, Myanmar's ASEAN tariff rate reduction and elimination plan has also been released.

To implement the provisions of Article 19 of the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement for the free flow of goods in the ASEAN region, the Union Minister has issued the Myanmar ATIGA Tariff Reduction Schedule in AHTN 2022, which is linked to the ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Nomenclature System 2022 by exercising the powers conferred by Article 4 of the Tariff Law. The proclamation was taken effect from August 1, 2023.
