Myanmar team wins three silver and two bronze medals at Thailand SEA Games

The Myanmar national sports team secured an additional three silver and two bronze medals at the 2025 Thailand SEA Games following December 12 competitions.

The medals came from several disciplines, with billiards and snooker contributing one silver and one bronze, karate earning one silver, canoeing winning one silver, and taekwondo adding one bronze.

In the men’s individual billiards final, Myanmar player U Pauk Sa was defeated 3–0 by Singapore’s Gail Chris, narrowly missing out on a third consecutive SEA Games gold medal.

In the men’s 200-meter canoe four event, the Myanmar team comprising Myo Hlaing Win, Thant Zin Oo, Kyaw Zeya, Htut Khaung Zaw, and Aung Phyo Hein finished second to claim the silver medal.

Myanmar’s Florent Naychi Htun won a silver medal in the women’s under-50kg kumite event in karate.

Bronze medals were secured by Htike Htike Kyaw in the men’s under-55kg judo event and by Nay Min Tun in the snooker 6 Red Singles competition. As of the conclusion of competitions on December 12, Myanmar has won a total of two gold, nine silver, and five bronze medals at the 2025 SEA Games.
