Myanmar found 1,532 new COVID-19 confirmed patients with 19 more have died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of November 20.
A total of 16,999 samples are tested between November 19 and November 20 and found 1,532 confirmed patients, it said.
A total of 968 people were allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people free from the virus to 56,601.
Among the 19 deaths, 17 had underlying chronic medical conditions. Up to 1,695 patients have died from the virus, it said.
It said 986,267 samples were tested till November 20 and found 76,414 patients so far and 56,601 people were recovered from the virus with 1,695 deaths.
A total of 1,387 people, who had close contact with positive patients in Yangon Region and tested negative, are put in home quarantine, it said.
Hospitals in Yangon Region are testing COVID-19 suspects using rapid antigen diagnostic test kits and there are people who lost their sense of smell and taste included, announced the MOHS.
