Myanmar found 3,689 new COVID-19 confirmed cases on August 2 bringing total number of patients to 306,354, according to an announcement from Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS).
A total of 12,394 samples are tested between 8 pm of August 1 and 8 pm of August 2 and found 3,689 patients. 330 more people died from the virus bringing total number of death tolls to 10,061, according to a report from the MOHS.
It said 197 samples tested in labs under the MOHS, 13 samples tested using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw, all regions and states, 110 samples tested at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, 30 samples tested at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, 44 samples tested at No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital in Lashio, 87 samples tested at private hospitals and labs, 781 samples tested using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw, all regions and states and 2,427 samples tested using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in public health departments in regions and states, are found infected with the virus.
A total of 3,181,859 samples are tested till August 2 and 3,915 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing total number to 217,142, it said.
