Myanmar reports 36 confirmed cases on Feb 15

Myanmar found 36 new COVID-19 confirmed patients on February 15, bringing the total number of patients to 141,637 and one more person has died, announced the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS) on the night of February 15.

A total of 887 samples were tested between 8 pm of February 14 and 8 pm of February 15 and found 36 confirmed patients. It said 2,476,797 samples were tested till February 15 and found 141,637 patients so far.

A total of 134 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospital bringing the total number of people to 130,465, it said.

Up to 3,190 patients have died from the virus, it said.

The infection and death cases continue to increase across the world and there are over 109 million confirmed cases and over 2.4 million death cases, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

The United State topped the list of confirmed cases with over 28 million followed by India with over 10.8 million till February 8.

In Asean countries, there are 1.2 million confirmed cases in Indonesia, over 540,000 cases in Philippines, over 260,000 cases in Malaysia, over 140,000 cases in Myanmar, over 59,000 cases in Singapore, over 24,000 cases in Thailand, over 2,100 cases in Vietnam, over 470 cases in Cambodia, over 180 cases in Brunei and 45 cases in Laos.
