The Ministry of Health has stated that of the 11,236 COVID-19 lab samples  tested between 8PM of 19th Aug and 8PM of 20th Aug, 3009 new cases were reported.

In addition there had 151 deaths on 20th Aug bringing the total number of deaths to 14,096.

Since the start of testing lab samples in Myanmar till 20th Aug a total of 3,406,363 lab samples had been tested and 368,768 confirmed patients had been found. 

On 20th Aug 4,048 patients were discharged from hospitals so that the total number of those discharged reached to 290,823. 

On 20th Aug 564 new cases were found by tests conducted in laboratories from Regions and States and labs under the Ministry of Health,  24 new cases found in labs by means of GeneXpert machines in Nay Pyi Daw Council Regions and States, 443 new cases found by means of COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test,  49 new cases found in laboratory at the Yangon Military Hospital 1, 73 new patients found from laboratory in Naypyidaw Military Hospital No 2, 27 new cases reported from laboratory of Lashio Military Hospital No 9, 44 new cases found in private hospitals and labs and 1805 new cases discovered by means of COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in Department of Health in Nay Pyi Daw Council Regions and States.
