Myanmar reports 1,573 new patients on Oct 13

Myanmar found 1,573 new COVID-19 confirmed cases on October 13 bringing total number of patients to 482,803, according to an announcement from Ministry of Health (MOH).

A total of 18,861 samples were tested between 8 pm of October 12 and 8 pm of October 13 and found 1,573 patients. 34 more people died from the virus bringing total number of death tolls to 18,222, according to a report from the ministry.

The samples were tested in labs under the MOH, using GeneXpert machines in hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states, at No.1 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Yangon, at No.2 1,000-Bed Military Hospital in Nay Pyi Taw, at No.1 700-Bed Military Hospital in Pyinoolwin, at No.9 100-Bed Military Hospital in Lashio, at private hospitals and labs and using COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Diagnostic Test in hospitals and public health departments in Nay Pyi Taw Council, all regions and states.

A total of 4,557,424 samples are tested till October 13 and 1,281 people are allowed to be discharged from the hospitals bringing total number to 435,361, it said.

As of October 12, a total of 4,201,630 people have received full dose and 6,389,979 people received one dose, totaling over 14.79 million jabs.
