The Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) hosted a meeting with the Russian ambassador to Myanmar, Mr. Iskander Azizov, on January 19 in Nay Pyi Taw.

The meeting focused on the connection of payment systems and card system interoperability issues, which are essential for facilitating fast and smooth trade payments between the two countries.

The CBM governor, Daw Than Than Swe, the vice governors, the permanent secretary and heads of departments attended the meeting.

Mr. Azizov also met with some Union Ministers separately and discussed various issues of bilateral cooperation.
