MAWLAMYAING----- A motorcycle driver and female passenger were stabbed in their necks and robbed of his motorbike on a circular road in Oakpho Ward, Mawlamyaing Township, Mon State, yesterday night, according to the nearby residents.
As motorcycle rider and a female fell down on a circular road in Oakpho Ward, the nearby residents informed social welfare and rescue teams.
The residents also reported that we didn’t know when they had fallen on the road. However, we found that they were stabbed in their necks. We heard that the motorcycle robber was a friend of a motorcycle driver.
Aung Myint, Chairman of Kyanmar Chan Thar Rescue Team also said that the resident informed the team saying that two victims had fallen on the road. So, the ambulances of the Team left for the incident and the volunteers looked after the victims and they sent them to Mawlamyaing People’s Hospital.
The relevant authorities are now investigating the case.
Likewise, a motorcycle driver was killed and robbed of his motorbike occurred near Kawtkani village, Mawlamyaing Township in the evening of November 16th.
