Applications for passport conversion from PV type to PJ type will be accepted with the documents specified by the Ministry of Labour, according to a notification issued by the Myanmar Passport Issuing Office.

Myanmar citizens who are going to work abroad are applying for passport for visit (PV) type passports instead of passport for job (PJ) type passports, which is causing inconvenience at the airport, according to a statement issued on October 27.

Therefore, applications for passport conversion from PV type to PJ type passports with the documents specified by the Ministry of Labour will be accepted.

Applications for passport conversion will be accepted in Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw starting November 4.
