Minister for Immigration and Population and Ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar discuss bilateral cooperation

Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing received Ambassador of Bangladesh to Myanmar Dr. Md Monwar Hossain in Nay Pyi Taw on September 27.

They discussed bilateral cooperation between the two nations, the peaceful movement of people across their shared borders, ongoing efforts to receive displaced persons from Rakhine State, Myanmar's progress in verifying individuals intending to return from Bangladesh, preparations in place for their repatriation, and collaborative efforts between the two countries to ensure the successful reception of displaced persons.

They discussed frankly on matters such as re-accepting of those entered Bangladesh and are ready, some organizations are carried out to call off the implementations and on cooperation between two countries on successful returning of displaced people.

Present on the occasion were deputy minister U Htay Hlaing, permanent secretary U Win Zaw Aung, director general of Department of Immigration U Ye Tun Oo and officials.
