A man was shot dead inside a village administrator’s office in Patheingyi Township, Mandalay Region, on the morning of February 18 at around 10:30 AM.
The incident occurred at the office of the administrator of Tae Gone village, where village leader U Pyae Phyo Swe and U Myo Myint were having a conversation. Two unidentified men arrived on a motorcycle, claiming they wanted to register as guests. Upon entering the office, they opened fire with a firearm they had brought with them.
The shooting appeared to target the village administrator, but U Myo Myint, who was nearby, was hit. He sustained gunshot wounds to his chest, right ribs, right shoulder, and right hand, resulting in his death.
