Malaysian Prime Minister hosts official welcome ceremony for President U Min Aung Hlaing at Prime Minister’s Office

President U Min Aung Hlaing, who is on an official visit to Malaysia, was accorded an official welcome ceremony by Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim at the Prime Minister’s Office.

At the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, President U Min Aung Hlaing was formally welcomed by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim at the Prime Minister’s Office on the morning of October 8.

Upon arrival at the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Office, where the official welcome ceremony was held, President U Min Aung Hlaing was greeted by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim and then they received the salute of the guard of honour.

During the guard of honour ceremony, the military bands played the national anthems of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Malaysia.

President U Min Aung Hlaing then inspected the guard of honour.

Afterwards, President U Min Aung Hlaing and Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim introduced the members of their respective governments attending the ceremony. President U Min Aung Hlaing then signed the guest book at the Malaysian Prime Minister’s Office.

The ceremony was attended by Union Ministers U Khin Maung Yi, U Tin Maung Swe, U Myint Kyaing, U Min Naung, U Maung Myint and U Tun Ohn; Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin; Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw; senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services; deputy ministers and officials, who accompanied the President on his visit. Malaysian ministers and senior officials also attended the ceremony alongside Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim.
