Local fuel prices drop continuously

As local fuel prices continuously drop, buyers have said they could not buy fuel at some fuel stations in Yangon on October 7. 

According to the prices on October 7, a litre of 92 Ron cost Ks1,945, a litre of 95 Ron cost Ks2,045, a litre of premium diesel cost Ks2,265 and a  litre of diesel cost Ks.2,225 . The prices of fuel are the same as October 6 but diesel price has declined a little.

“It is common these days that if the fuel prices decline, we can’t buy 92 Ron or 95 Ron at some fuel stations. This morning, I had to go to two fuel stations to buy fuel. The first fuel station hasn’t got 92,” said a taxi driver.

Some vehicle owners said that there are many vehicles line up to buy fuel in some fuel stations.

A vehicle owner said that he had to queue for 15 minutes to get fuel. On October 6, fuel prices are 1,945 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 2,045 kyats per litre for 95 Ron, 2,350 kyats per litre for premium diesel and 2,285 kyats per litre for diesel.

On October 2, fuel prices are 2,120 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 2,215 kyats per litre for 95 Ron, 2,540 kyats per litre for premium diesel in the market.

On September 30, fuel prices are 2,185 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 2,280 kyats per litre for 95 Ron, 2,670 kyats per litre for premium diesel and 2,595 kyats per litre for diesel in the market.

On September 18, fuel prices are 2,440 kyats per litre for 92 Ron, 2,565 kyats per litre for 95 Ron, 2,725 kyats per litre for premium diesel and 2,650 kyats per litre for diesel in the market.

After fuel prices had risen in the middle of September, it fell down for consecutive days. On September 22, fuel price is under 2,300 kyats per litre for 92 Ron.
