In a bid to mitigate the natural disasters and humanitarian challenges in the flood-hit regions during the rainy season, Kanbawza Bank donated life-saving fiber boats worth more than Ks 56 million.

Last year, the KBZ donated life-saving fiber boats to the Natural Disaster Management Department under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and Myanmar Red Cross Society.

Now 26 life-saving fiber boats are in the townships in Yangon, Mon, Kayin, Bago and Taninthayi. Nine life-saving fiber boats were transferred to the Natural Disaster Management Department and the remaining 17 boats to 14 townships.

Deputy CEO of Kanbawza Bank Daw Nang Lang Kham said: “KBZ Bank always assists in rescue and resettlement works whenever there is natural disaster in Myanmar. The KBZ donates necessary facilities so as to carry out preparedness works and minimize the losses for natural disasters. The KBZ will continue discussing with relevant organizations and rescue teams on providing further assistance in disaster-prone areas in Myanmar.”
