On March 30 2021, KBZ Bank announced that customers can only withdraw 200,000 kyats per day from its ATMs.
Essential banking services offered by KBZ Bank, such as maximum withdrawal of 200,000 kyats per day from the ATMs, cash deposit to bank account, cash deposit to KBZ Pay, cheque payment and cheque clearing will continue to be offered In selected branches, other services will be offered, such as, registering for Mobile Banking/KBZ Pay, opening a bank account, bank-to-bank transfer (USD-MMK, MMK-USD), bank-to-bank transfer of the local currency, payment order issuance, ATM card issuance and cash withdrawal according to the specifications set by the Central Bank of Myanmar.
Branches in Yangon, Mandalay and Pyin Oo Lwin are open on March 30th.
As the list of branches that are open can change daily, the bank strongly urges its customers to check the list beforehand and to comply with the night curfew hours.
According to the March 1st statement by the Central Bank of Myanmar, the daily withdrawal limit from the ATMs of private banks is set at 500,000 kyats.
