The London Business School (LBS) had partnered with KBZ Bank, especially in integrating KBZ Pay, within its MBA curriculum.

Through the collaboration, the LBS's MBA students better experienced and learned from the field of one of the fastest-growing nations of the South-East Asia region.

Additionally, this experience provided KBZ Bank with fresh ideas and solutions to challenges faced by businesses in rapid-growth markets.

The collaborative effort, as part of its Performance-Drive-Strategy Execution Course, helped KBZ’s management lead its 18,000 staff to execute an ambitious product launch and systematically manage a sprawling network of merchants and agents across 63 Districts in a country of 55 million people.

Myanmar's fastest-growing mobile wallet has achieved commendable success, bringing onboard “more than 4.5 million customers and 280,000 Merchants and Agents” last year, according to a statement by KBZ Bank.

Ahmed Tahoun -- Professor of the course from LBS -- says that the program was a “huge success” with many record-breaking achievements made. “Being able to be involved in real-time, live case studies added a new dimension to the curriculum and our MBA program,” said Professor Ahmed.

"As we transform our bank to world-class standards, it is a delight to be able to work with one of the best business schools in the world. Myanmar is growing rapidly on every measure and working with LBS enables us to be at the front of business and management thinking, quickly implementing learnings into real-life business scenarios," said Nang Lang Kham, Deputy CEO, KBZ Bank.

Both KBZ and LBS confirmed that there will be further collaborations between the two in the coming months.
