The first regular session of the Third Amyotha Hluttaw (Upper House) convened today (March 18) at 10:00 a.m., during which the Speaker and Deputy Speaker were elected.
According to reports, Jeng Phang Naw Taung was elected as the Deputy Speaker of the Amyotha Hluttaw.
Jeng Phang Naw Taung represents the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) and was elected from Constituency No. (2) of Kachin State in the Amyotha Hluttaw.
