The Japan Disaster Relief Team (JDR) has established a temporary hospital inside the Mandalay City Development Committee (MCDC) office to provide free medical care to those affected by the recent earthquake. Medical services began on April 4 at 1:00 PM in Chan Aye Tharzan Township, Mandalay.
Mr. Shogo Yoshitake, Head of the Japanese Embassy in Myanmar, extended heartfelt condolences to those who lost loved ones or suffered property damage in the 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on March 28.
“We from Japan stand with the people of Myanmar,” Mr. Yoshitake stated, emphasizing Japan’s solidarity and support.
The JDR hospital is staffed by 31 medical professionals and is equipped to offer services such as X-rays, ultrasounds, treatment for external injuries, fractures, and general illnesses—all free of charge.
