The Union Election Commission (UEC)  has formed and they have five years ahead to do work before holding the General Election. The executive levels are paid during these 5 years. The village and ward level election commission members are formed or appointed only when the election is near and they are only paid for that time. But, there are many things to do ahead and there are many weaknesses in them.

What I found is the envelopes. What I would like to say is, those taking responsibility must check ahead their envelopes whether these are waxing or unable to be sealed. The symbol has to stamped on and if these are waxed or unable to stamp, they need to check prior the election. I’m really amazed why they didn’t check the envelopes. In 2015, In Seikkyi Khanaungto Township, the stamp is us-side down. But, UEC didn’t notice it. In 2020, we have to take lessons from past experiences. After ordering stamps from the shops, we have to check these stamps when we get these stamps. They are paid for 5 years. There are many things to arrange before the Election.

Next are those waiting at the ballot booths, mostly they are teachers. People suggested that those appointed at the polling booths should be youth volunteers who are independent of parties. Now that those waiting at the booths are violating or cheating votes, responsible parties’ image may disgrace due to their conduct. So, in the next elections, we have to choose and appoint the in charge duties of polling booths to youth volunteers who are independent of parties. Because elders may have been biased or manipulated in the election booth.
