In order to reduce traffic congestion in Htokawkoe Road Section along Myawaddy Dawna Mountain Road, traffic will be allowed one day up and one day down with December 18 for cars to go down, according to local sources.

We don’t need to wait 2 or 3 hours to pass the road. We had to wait 2 or 3 hours daily on the way but we had no choice as there is no alternative,” said a driver from Myawady-Mawlamyine bus line.
In the past, Htokawkoe Road Section was used as a main road for transporting vehicles.
