COLOMBO (The Island/ANN) - Three of 50 hi-tech scanners, imported from China after the Easter Sunday attacks, to be installed at Ruwanweliseya, Anuradhapura to check all personnel and luggage.
Police will install three scanners to protect Ruwanweliseya, Anuradhapura. These scanners will cover all the entrances to the Ruwanweliseya.
The installation of one scanner, which is to be established at the Archeology Junction, which leads to the Udamaluwa, has already begun. With these scanners all individuals entering Ruwanweliseya premises and their luggage can be checked with minimum hassle.
These three scanners are among the 50 hi-tech scanners that were imported from China after the Easter Sunday attacks.
One such scanner has been installed at the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy.
