Continuous heavy rainfall on August 10 triggered rising water levels in the Zawgyi River, flooding low-lying homes in Zawgyi Ward, Yatsawk Township, Shan State. Driven by upstream rain in Pindaya Township, the river climbed to 13.6 feet by 11:00 AM—nearing its danger mark of 16.45 feet.

In response, local authorities evacuated 152 people from 41 households to two temporary relief centers set up at a local sports hall and a religious hall. 

Local administrative teams, healthcare workers, the Red Cross, and military medical staff are providing emergency rations, drinking water, meals, sanitation, and medical care. No casualties or structural damages have been reported.
