Nansanyang villagers are officially registered as Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs) at the refugee camps but they are now sheltering at their own homes and relatives’ houses.

At present, there are 42 IDP households that had returned to Nansanyang village.

We supported them with one-month ration and utensils for the IDPs. We, the military, helped in the cleaning services at their homes. We have plans to help the returnees as much as we can,” said Col. Tun Nay Lin from Northern Command Headquarter.

“The authorities helped us returned. But, houses have not been fully rebuilt. We had own farms in the village. But now that my family of three will return to the village, little cattle are left at the village,” said Nan Aye who will return to the Nansanyang village.
