A gang of unidentified men reportedly robbed Global Treasure Bank near Nandawin Market in South Oakkalapa Township, Yangon Region, after shooting a gun this morning, said heighbourhood residents.
Local witnesses said a group of people entered the branch of GTB (Nandawin Market) located on Byamaso Road after about 11am on July 15, fired a gun and robbed the bank.
“Police were investigating at the bank. I don’t how much money was taken away. Police arrived soon after the robbery,” a neighbourhood resident said.
The police conducted checks at the bank till about 1 pm.
