The Armed Forces has taken over the responsibilities of the State and is working on five-point road map to be taken. This five-point road map is in line with the situation in our country, so we are determined to succeed, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) in Nay Pyi Taw on November 24.

He made the remarks at a swearing-in ceremony for members of the Myanmar Press Council at the auditorium located at the office of the Chairman of the SAC .

At the ceremony, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said that although there are different forms of democratization in different parts of the world, the pattern of transition in our country depends on the actual situation of the country and its socio-economic development. It is a process of transitioning to a multi-party democracy in accordance with the provisions of the 2008 Constitution, based on the development of political culture throughout history, in line with the actual situation of the country and the will of the people. In other words, all those involved in politics know that the 2008 constitution is a lifelong commitment to Myanmar's democratic transition.

Today, a state of emergency has been declared to the state under Article 417 of the 2008 Constitution, and all duties of the State have been delegated to the Armed Forces. The Tatmadaw has taken over the responsibilities of the state and is working on five-point road map to be taken. This five-point road map is in line with the situation in our country, so we are determined to succeed, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

In addition, the Tatmadaw is building a fair, peaceful and developed country. In such a situation, I would like to urge all parties to work together peacefully and within the legal framework to eliminate foreign disturbances. He also called for the immediate end of hostilities and the use of force against terrorists.

Once the provisions of the state of emergency are met, the free and fair multi-party democratic general election will be held in accordance with the 2008 Constitution and the winner party will be able to delegate state responsibilities in accordance with democratic norms.
