Fighting continues on Konegyan area of Shan State

Fighting was going on in the Konegyan area, Laukkai District in Shan State and three homemade rockets were fired into Laukkai town, said Major General Zaw Min Tun, spokesman for the State Administration Council (SAC).

Major General Zaw Min Tun added the above while speaking about the situation of fighting in Shan State (northeast), Rakhine State and Chin State on November 28.

"As for today's clashes, a fierce battle took place in the Konegyan area in the northeast of Shan State. It continues to happen. The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) fired three homemade rockets into Laukkai town,'' Major General Zaw Min Tun said.

We have also seen cases of taking people hostage by the armed groups, and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) entered and occupied places that are not related to the military and they are attacking the Tatmadaw while taking cover by the people in Kyaukme, Major General Zaw Min Tun said.

Major General Zaw Min Tun said, “Like we said, if there are casualties from them, they are spreading propagandas that the people are died and Tatmadaw is endangering the people.”

Arakan Army (AA) is taking cover of residential areas in Pauktaw, Rakhine State and they attacked security camps, the police and the Tatmadaw, who were providing security, and they retaliated, said Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun.

Major General Zaw Min Tun said, "In the area of the Northwest Command, there was an attack on the Yayswar base. The fighting is still going on.''

The armed groups have taken people as their hostage and taking covered of the buildings in cities and towns while the Tatmadaw is keeping safe of the lives of the people, the sovereignty of the country and the territory of the country. It is only direct interference and destruction of the lives of the people and state and public buildings, Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun said.
