Explosions occurred near immigration and internal revenue offices in Hlaing Township this morning, sources said.

The bomb exploded inside a dust bin in front of the internal revenue office in the township around 8 am, according to people lived nearby.

“The explosion is big and the fragments from the explosion reached on other side of the road,” said a person lived nearby.

Another blast occurred near the immigration office located in Butayone Road.

“The explosions occurred for three times near the immigration office and we also heard gunshots. A man repairing trishaw is hit and sent to the hospital,” said a person lived nearby.

Series of explosions occurred in Yangon Region since at the end of April and a man was killed after a blast occurred at Denko fuel station in North Oakkalapa Township on May 15.

Moreover an administrative body member of Thaketa Township was killed on the morning of May 27. At least five times of explosions were reported in the township. On June 1 and 2, five explosions occurred in Mingala Taungnyunt Township.
