According to local residents living near the station, a drop bomb exploded inside the Mudon Township Police Station compound in Mon State on the morning of January 31.
Around 7:00 AM, an explosion was heard from inside the police station compound. A local resident reported that the bomb had landed in an empty lot at the back of the police station before detonating.
"The explosion was caused by a drop bomb. It landed in the empty lot and exploded, but fortunately, there were no casualties or damage to buildings," the resident said.
Following the explosion, roads around the police station were temporarily closed, but they were reopened around 8:00 AM, according to the resident.
