Dense fogs may expect in some parts of Myanmar between Feb 10 and 17: DMH

Heavy fogs may expect in lower Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyawady, Taninthayi regions, Shan (southern and eastern), Chin, Kayah and Kayin states in the morning from February 10 to 17, announced the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).

Weather will be partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few clouds over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over Bay of Bengal.

Rain or thundershowers will be below normal in Nay Pyi Taw, lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon states and about normal in upper Sagaing, Thaninthyi regions and Kachin and Shan states.

Rainy days are expected about 4 to 6 days in upper Sagaing, Taninthayi regions and Kachin and east Shan states and about 1 to 3 days in Nay Pyi Taw, lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady regions and northern and southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon states.

Night temperature will be 1.5°C above normal of February average Temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kayin and Mon states and about normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah states.

Foggy days will be expected about 18 to 25 days in upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, northern Shan, Rakhine and Mon states, about 10 to 17 days in lower Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyawady, Taninthayi regions and southern and eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah and Kayin states and about 3 to 9 days in Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay, Magway and Bago regions.
