The Cyclonic Storm MOCHA leaves Myanmar, heads to China and it will weaken, says Hla Tun, Director of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH).

“MOCHA left Myanmar this afternoon. It moved onto Kachin and China and then it will weaken into a depression. It coded as a green stage for Myanmar. People are freed from the storm. It will be weakening into a depression and then it will change to a low pressure in China border,” said Hla Tun.

He also reviewed that rain wasn’t much than the storm. But, it will continue to pour down due to the rain clouds. Monsoon will be moving towards the southern Myanmar.

According to the observations at (9:30) hrs M.S.T today, the severe cyclonic storm MOCHA which made landfall near Katha, Upper Sagaing Region, moved to East-Northeastwards near Bhamaw Township, Kachin State.
