The consumer price index (CPI) reached 203.18 point in June 2022, which is 19.42 percent higher than the consumer price index in June 2021, according to the consumer price index and inflation rate released by the Central Statistics Organization.

Looking at the country's consumer price index calculated with the base year of 2012, it rose from 150.13 point in March 2019 to 161.72 point in December 2019.

In January 2020, it was 161.33 point. It was 160.98 point in June and 162.94 point in December and 162.53 point in January 2021.

In 2021, it was increased to 170.13 point in June, 171.63 point in July, 172.92 point in August, 174.97 point in September, 179.20 point in October, 181.72 point in November, and 183.51 point in December. In 2022, the consumer price index for the whole country was 184.89 point in January, 186.82 point in February, 192.71 point in March, 196.01 point in April, 199.31 point in May and 203.18 point in June.

Based on the base year of 2012, by analyzing the country's consumer price index from June 2018 to June 2020, it rose from 150.13 point in March 2019 to 161.72 point in December 2019. However, since January 2020, food group prices have gradually declined, reaching 160.12 point in May. However, it reached 160.98 point in June 2020, which has slightly increased compared to the previous month.

In November 2012, the Central Statistics Organization conducted a household income and consumption survey on 32,669 sample households in 82 townships in order to calculate the consumer price index and inflation rate for the entire country. In the survey conducted with the base year of 2012, the types of products included 438 types of commonly used products and services. In order to calculate the consumer price rate, 108 types of products were selected in the food group and 166 types of products were selected in the non-food group, totaling 274 types which were collected and calculated, according to the release of the Central Statistics Organization.
