Clashes occurred between security forces and KNU/KNLA/PDF in Donthami villge in Thaton Township on the morning of June 1 killing three travellers and some of the security forces were killed and injured according to locals.

The combined forces of KNU/KNLA/PDF attacked police checkpoint in Donthami village around 6:25 am on June 1, and exploded bankers in both side of the bridge on 6:35 am and they retreated around 7:45 am according to locals.

He continued in saying that a woman and two men travelling on the way in Donthami village were killed. Some members of security forces were killed during the clash and some were injured. Ambulances were heading to Thaton.

Due to the explosion, fences of the villagers’ were burnt and a clinic at the Duyinseik village was destroyed according to sources.

According to follow up news close to security forces, two members of security forces were killed and at least five were injured.
