Clashes were going on in Panmyaung and Phonnyolake villages in Rakhine State on September 30 and Tatmadaw seized a temporary camp of AA in Phonnyolake village, said Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun, Secretary of Tatmadaw True News Information Team on October 1.

Frequent clashes between Tatmadaw and AA broke out in MraukU, Buthidaung, Ponnakyun and Minbya. The clashes were also going on in Paletwa in Chin State. Tatmadaw seized a temporary camp of the AA in Phonnyolake on September 30.

“Clashes broke out in Panmyaung, MraukU and Phonnyolake. It was yesterday. We already seized the temporary camp of the AA in Phonnyolake,” said Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun.

An explosion took place in Meewa village in Kyauktaw Township, injuring five including a presiding Sayadaw and a novice. Regarding this incident, local people said Tatmadaw navy fired on the village. Irrawaddy News Agency stated the news citing local people. It was not known to us and there were no clashes between Tatmadaw and the AA, said Brig-Gen Zaw Min Tun.

The clashes between Tatmadaw and the TNLA displaced more than 400 people from four villages in southern Kutkai, northern Shan State on September 24 and they were located at monasteries and relief camps. On September 27, the displaced persons have returned to their native places, according to the announcement of the Office of the UN Resident & Humanitarian Coordinator in Myanmar.
