President U Min Aung Hlaing and the Myanmar high-level delegation were hosted at a special luncheon by Chinese President Xi Jinping during the Myanmar leader’s state goodwill visit to China.

At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, Myanmar President U Min Aung Hlaing is currently paying a state goodwill visit to China. On June 16, at around 10:00 a.m. local time, he was welcomed with a ceremonial guard of honor at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

Following the welcome ceremony, President U Min Aung Hlaing held talks with President Xi Jinping. After the meeting, officials from both countries exchanged and signed a total of 18 agreements and memoranda of understanding in the presence of the two heads of state.

Subsequently, President Xi Jinping hosted a special luncheon in honor of President U Min Aung Hlaing and members of the Myanmar delegation. President Xi personally greeted and welcomed President Min Aung Hlaing before the two leaders entered the banquet hall together and shared the luncheon.

During the luncheon, Chinese traditional cultural performance groups entertained the guests with musical performances featuring songs from both China and Myanmar.
