The Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) grants banking licenses to banks and ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and directives.

Banks provide a range of services, including savings, loans to key economic sectors, digital financial services, financial support for trade and MSMEs, and international payment services under the Central Bank's directives.

Currently, malicious media outlets and individuals, such as Yan Paing Soe and Dean Kyne, are spreading fake news on Facebook to undermine the State’s economy and financial stability.

The Central Bank of Myanmar urges the public not to believe or worry about these reports, which aim to disrupt the government and the people's interests.

The public is reassured that there is no need for concern regarding the provocations of insurgents, and banking services remain reliably available.
