Bodies float in the Uru River on two consecutive days

MYITKYINA----The dead bodies were floating in the Uru River, Hpa-Kant region, Kachin State, on two consecutive days, according to the locals.

The locals said that they found the bodies were floating in the Uru River on September 15th and 16th. Those bodies were men.

“No bodies were found in the first day. However, the bodies were packed in the bags in the second day. We don’t know whether they were killed or not. The children had poked the bodies in the river due to the bad smell,” said one of the locals.

Likewise, a body of man was found with stabbing in the Uru River in Seikmu village-tract in Hpa-kant Township in the afternoon of July 11th.

Over 20 people including ward administrators and their related peoples as well as military informants were killed in Hpa-kant region after February 1st of 2021.
