Axiata sells EDOTCO Myanmar shares for $150 million and exits country

Malaysian public company Axiata has divested its majority-owned tower subsidiary, EDOTCO Myanmar, in a deal worth US$150 million.

The decision to exit the Myanmar market was attributed to the challenging macroeconomic conditions and operational difficulties.

EDOTCO Myanmar, which manages over 3,000 towers in the country, is the acquiring party according to Axiatas official statement.
