The Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) made an announcement on April 30 that another five banks and five mobile banking services that can provide online banking services to the public. 

The announcement said the CBM is trying to provide mobile banking services in the time when the mobile internet services are cut off temporarily across the country.

CBM has announced on April 29 that some banks have resumed providing mobile banking services using mobile internet and additional services and now UAB, Myanmar Apex Bank, Nay Pyi Taw Development Bank, Asia Green Development Bank and Shwe Rural and Urban Development Bank have resumed providing services. 

The functions via mobile banking services such as mobile banking, internet banking, mobile top-up, other cards top-up, bill payments, visa, master, credit card payment, MPU cards, ATMs, account to account transfer, wallet to wallet, bank to wallet and wallet and bank through payment systems from banks and CCT function from the CBM Net, are start provided for the public from April 28 and additional services and banks will be notified to the public, it said.

Moreover, Wave Money, OKS, M-Pitesan, Mytel Pay, MPY Money have start providing services to the public such as mobile top-up, Wallet to Wallet, bank to Wallet, Wallet to Bank, Airtime top-up, Merchant, cash in/out according to CBM announcement.
