At the event, the Acting President mentioned the issue of fuel when speaking about the efforts to improve transportation and road connectivity.
Regarding transportation, the Acting President said that he has been encouraging public transportation more, and that developing countries are also working to improve public transportation, including railways. During his government’s term, he has made efforts to ensure that travellers can travel more conveniently and smoothly. He said that the government is working to facilitate the flow of goods quickly and efficiently, and has upgraded railways and expanded train routes. The Yangon-Mandalay railway upgrade was continued with the state budget during his government's tenure, and now the railway operations have improved further and the speed of the trains can now be increased to 100 kilometers.
